Vikings And Jaguars Start Joint Practices Wednesday

The Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars start there joint practices against each other Wednesday and will follow it up with a preseason game at U.S. Bank Stadium this weekend. Joint practices have been the subject of much scrutiny recently because of the number of fights occurring during them around the NFL this preseason. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer made it clear that any player that fights during practice will be sent home. In reality, this will likely only stop younger guys trying to make the roster from fighting, I don’t think a veteran player would be too afraid of taking the rest of the day off on a hot summer day.

From a fan’s perspective, getting to watch two team play against each other live in training camp could be a really cool experience. I just hope it results in Vikings players getting better not them just getting into fights.
