This week on Tuesdays Sports Take we will be talking about the Vikings and their progress in training camp. So far the Vikings defense has looked phenomenal according to reports and destined for another top finish in total defense. Which is no surprise to me, the defense is all around very talented and good enough to still perform at a high level with key injuries. What I am worried about is the offense and more specifically the offensive line. Pat Elflein is still on the PUP list, which is a huge loss for them and I hope he can get back soon, and the team has also been without Mike Remmers and Nick Easton the past few days. The one positive that comes out of these injuries happening early in training camp is that younger guys are able to get experience and valuable reps in case injuries continue to haunt them into the season and they’re forced to play.
On a more positive note, the skill position players on offense are all healthy and could be in for a huge year. Many fans are excited about the Kirk Cousins acquisition but personally, I am really looking forward to watching Dalvin Cook return from injury. Cook looked like a star last season before he got hurt and I think he’s going to really be special this season.
