The New York Times reported this weekend that the Minnesota Timberwolves intend to make starting forward Jimmy Butler a very rich man. More specifically, they plan on offering him a contract in worth around $110 million. As a lifelong Minnesota Timberwolves fan, this news is very exciting to me because Butler is considered a fan favorite because of both his play on the court and his very enjoyable personality off the court. Many people remember the hilarious video of him screaming as he tipped over a canoe last summer, or the many wacky outfits he will wear on his way into the arena on gameday. As a player, Butler helped the team reach the playoffs for the first time in over 15 years.
I really hope Butler agrees to the contract and stays in Minnesota for awhile.
