Germany Suffers Another Loss

Four-time World Cup winner Germany lost to South Korea today 2-0.  Although surprising, they did start off rocky losing to Mexico June 17, 0-1.  But they came back winning against Sweden 2-1 June 23.  With the loss to Mexico and South Korea under their belt, this means they won’t advance to the 2nd round. This is actually the first time since 1938 that Germany will not advance to the 2nd round of the game.  I’m not sure about you, but this loss was definitely a shock to me.

As of now here are the Round of 16 Fixtures:

1 June 30th  C1 France vs D2 Iceland – Kazan

2 June 30th A1 Uruguay vs B2 Spain – Sochi

3 July 1st B1 Portugal vs A2 Russia – Luzhniki Stadium

4 July 1st D1 Croatia vs C2 Denmark – Nizhny Novgorod

5 July 2nd E1 Brazil vs F2 Germany – Samara

6 July 2nd G1 England vs H2 Senegal – Rostov-on-Don

7 July 3rd F1 Mexico vs E2 Switzerland – Saint Petersburg

8 July 3rd H1 Japan vs G2 Belgium – Moscow Spartak
