MSU remains #2 ranking in latest D2football.com poll

The Minnesota State football team received the No. 2 ranking in the D2Football.com poll for the third straight week.

MSU kept its place in the poll after defeating Sioux Falls 27-23 on the road last weekend. The Mavericks are one of four NSIC teams ranked in the top-25 poll. Winona State improved to 11th after defeating Augustana last week, while Sioux Falls fell to 14th. Minnesota Duluth moved up to the 20th spot after besting the University of Mary.

Minnesota State opens NCAA Tournament competition on Saturday as it hosts CSU-Pueblo at Blakeslee Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
