MSU maintains #2 ranking in D2football.com Poll

The Minnesota State football team held steady at No. 2 in the latest edition of the D2Football.com poll.

MSU held the second spot in the poll after defeating Wayne State 48-27 last weekend at Blakeslee Stadium.

The Mavericks are one of four NSIC teams ranked in the top-25 poll. Sioux Falls improved to 11th after defeating Upper Iowa on the road 19-7, while Winona State climbed to 14th after its 45-7 win at Southwest Minnesota State. Minnesota Duluth moved up to 22nd after besting Minnesota Crookston 54-6.
Minnesota State wraps up its regular season schedule this Saturday on the road as it takes on Sioux Falls. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
