Up two spots, MSU Football now ranked third in latest D2Football.com poll

The Minnesota State football team has moved up two spots to third in the most recent edition in the D2Football.com poll.

MSU improved in the poll after defeating Augustana 42-21 last weekend at home. This is the highest Minnesota State has been ranked in the D2Football.com poll since week seven of the 2015 season when it was ranked first.

The Mavericks are one of three NSIC schools ranked in the top-25. Winona State moved up to 14th after defeating Sioux Falls 31-13 last weekend. Sioux Falls, which was ranked fourth last week, fell to 18th.

Minnesota State begins a two-game road trip this Saturday as it takes on Upper Iowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:07 p.m. Catch the game on The FAN Mankato AM 1230/ FM 103.1.
