MSU claims No. 6 ranking in latest AFCA Poll

The Minnesota State football team moved up two spots to the No. 6 spot in the latest edition of the AFCA poll.
The Mavericks improved in the poll after defeating Northern State 36-0 last weekend at Blakeslee Stadium. This is the highest MSU has been ranked in the AFCA poll since week one of the 2016 season when it was ranked sixth.
MSU is one of three NSIC schools in the AFCA poll. Sioux Falls held steady in the seventh spot after defeating Minnesota Crookston 34-0. Winona State entered the poll in the 25th spot after defeating Minot State 47-7.
Minnesota State continues its season on Saturday as it takes on Concordia-St. Paul in St. Paul, Minn. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
