Mavericks hold eighth spot in AFCA Poll

 The Minnesota State football team held the eighth ranking in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Poll for the second straight week.

MSU held steady in the poll after defeating Minnesota Duluth 38-23 last weekend on the road. The Mavericks are one of two NSIC schools ranked in the top-25. Sioux Falls held on to the seventh spot. UMD fell out of the poll and is receiving votes.

Minnesota State continues its season on Saturday as it hosts the Northern State Wolves at Blakeslee Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
