MSU claims 10th spot in poll

The Minnesota State football team jumped up six spots to 10th in the most recent edition of the Poll.

MSU improved six spots from the preseason poll after posting a 35-7 road victory against the University of Mary. This is the highest ranking MSU has received in the poll since week one of the 2016 season when it was ranked fourth.

The Mavericks are one of three NSIC schools ranked in the top-25. Sioux Falls improved to the ninth spot in the poll, while Minnesota Duluth fell to 17th. USF defeated UMD 26-7 last week in Duluth.

Minnesota State returns to Blakeslee Stadium on Saturday for its home opener against Minnesota Crookston. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on The FAN MANKATO.
