Over the weekend, Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought his 50th opponent, giving Conor McGregor a run for his money.
Mayweather defeated the mixed martial artist McGregor in the final rounds of the Saturday night fight. Finally stopping him at 1:05 of the 10th round with multiple punches the forced referee Robert Byrd to stop the fight.
McGregor boxed well in the first three rounds but after the third round his punches started to lose their force and Mayweather gained momentum. McGregor occasionally would stop and throw a flurry as Mayweather wore him down.
After this weekends fight Mayweather ran his record to 50-0, ending his fighting career on a high note. With this record he surpassed Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 record.
