It is a time-honored tradition in the N.H.L. for a list of injuries and surgeries to be released after a hockey team has been eliminated from the playoffs.
This year, hockey players such as Ottawa defenseman Erik Karlson, Washington Capitals’ star Alex Ovechkin, San Jose center Joe Thorton and many more, have fought through the pain of injuries during their time in the playoffs.
Playing through in injuries during the N.H.L. playoffs is a long and rich history. To some people this is inspiring and to others it is disturbing.
