Whoa, it’s already been a year since the legendary ‘Prince’ passed away. On the one year anniversary,  The Twins announced they will host a ‘Prince Night to remember the native from Chanhassen, Minnesota. This is truly remarkable for us Prince fans. We all know that he would be proud.

The night will feature 10,000 “Purple Rain” umbrellas to the first 10,000 who arrive to the game. If I were going, I would make sure to go early because these umbrellas will go fast! There are a lot of Prince fans out there so get there early. If you are lucky enough to get one of the 10,000, you will be asked remain standing and open it for a moment of silence for the Purple king.

The fans will not be the only ones remembering Prince. The Twins players and staff will have on purple shirts during batting practice. After the game, the shirts will be auctioned off online and proceeds will go towards music grants for Minneapolis Public Schools and benefit Achieve Minneapolis.

Throughout the entire game, fans will hear Prince music played and be able to watch the Prince themed fireworks to conclude the evening. The game will be against the Cleveland Indians and tickets can be purchased at the box office, by calling 612-338-9647 or going online.
