Bloomington Ice Garden named a finalist for Kraft Hockeyville Competition

It started with 10 nominees, and now there are only 4. Bloomington Ice Garden in Bloomington, MN and 3 other rinks in the United States have advanced to the 2nd round of the Kraft Hockeyville Competition.

This annual contest awards $150,000 to a community rink for expansion, upgrading, or general maintenance and improvements.

This is an amazing opportunity for Bloomington Ice Garden and the Minnesota communities. It would be great to see a local rink gain a ton of recognition and a big reward. Supporting local rinks are crucial for communities. It allows youth players to thrive and grow because sports can become a big part of their lives. We are the state of hockey, so I think a Minnesota ice arena deserves to be named Kraft Hockeyville this year and gain money in order to improve the facility.

The second round of polling begins today (Tuesday the 18th) and runs through Thursday.

Vote for the Bloomington Ice Garden (BIG) to be named Kraft Hockeyville!

Besides taking home the big money, the winning arena will also have the opportunity to host an NHL preseason game!

The good news is that BIG made it to the final four, so the rink is already guaranteed $25,000 in improvement funds. Vote for BIG in order to help out this Minnesota community rink and allow them to receive more money to upgrade their facility.
