It’s that time of year where we see coaching changes all through out the league. For the Vikings, they have hired Darrel Hazell as the new wide receiver coach as well Derik Keyes.
Hazel who was a head coach for the Purdue Boilermakers for the last three years will coach in the NFL for the first time in his career. However, he has an abundant amount of coaching experience after coaching in the NCAA since 1986. He also has coach the Ohio State Buckeyes where he was the wide receiver coach for six seasons.
What will he bring? Will we see Laquan Treadwell emerge as a downfield threat? The Vikings have a lot of talent at the wide receiver position so it will exciting to see what Hazel will bring.
The Vikes also hired Derik Keys a new assistant strength coach. Well, he has NFL coaching experience. He was the assistant strength coach for the Cleveland Browns for the past four seasons. He spent some time with the Houston Texans as well. Will the defense become even stronger? Maybe he can have an impact on the offensive line where the Vikings clearly need some changes.
