UMD takes over top spot in hockey poll, MSU ranked 10th

Minnesota-Duluth’s sweep of North Dakota over the weekend has vaulted UMD into the top spot in the USCHO.com college hockey rankings, with North Dakota falling two spots to third after suffering its first two losses of the season.

Denver moved up to second behind UMD.

The top 20 includes 8 New England teams, with Boston University at No. 4, and four from the Big Ten.

St. Cloud State is ranked 8th, while Minnesota State is 10th, Minnesota is 13th and Bemidji State is 18th.
