The 10th annual Hoops Fest supporting the Minnesota State men’s basketball team is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 27, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., in Taylor Center.
Tickets for the event are $100, which admits two, and those in attendance will get a chance to meet and greet the Maverick men’s basketball team. Complimentary food and beverages will be available as well.
There will be more than 50 items available at an auction. Items for the live auction include a backyard BBQ for up to 20 people donated by Rod and Sandy Mitchell, and a three-day retreat for six people at a cabin in the Black Hills provided by Bron Scherer and Protein Sources.
Items available for the silent auction include a three-night stay at the Lutsen Sea Villa donated by Mike and Cathy Brennan, four Minnesota Timberwolves tickets donated by Daktronics and a Snowy River Snowshoe Guided Tour for six people donated by Bent River.
Minnesota State opens its regular season schedule on Friday, Nov. 11, as it takes on Pittsburg State, at 5:00 p.m., in St. Cloud, Minn.
