Mavericks ranked eighth in latest regional rankings

The Minnesota State men’s cross country team finds itself ranked eighth in the NCAA Division II Central Region’s latest poll published by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

This week’s poll marks the first time this year the Mavericks have been ranked in the top eight in the region.

The Mavericks are one of four Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference programs that are ranked in this week’s standings. Augustana is rated first while MSU-Moorhead is ranked third. Minnesota-Duluth came in one spot beind the Mavericks at ninth.

Next up for the Mavericks is the Northern Sun Intercollegiate championship meet which is being held in Sioux Falls, S.D., Oct. 22,
