Ronnie Hillman, former running back for the Denver Broncos has signed with the Minnesota Vikings in the wake of the Adrian Peterson injury this past week. Hillman, after signing a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos earlier this year in April, was released just five short months later as the reigning champs opted to roll with C.J. Anderson.
Hillman is coming off a career year in Denver in which he ran for 863 yards and seven scores. In his fifth season, Hillman, along with running back Matt Asiata, is now the most veteran back on the roster and will look to learn things quickly so as to carve a role in the Peterson-less backfield.
Hillman will start the week third on the depth chart and has a chance to move up in the coming weeks and contribute to the newly revamped offense. “I just want to come out here to help the team win and hopefully go to the Super Bowl.”
