Stephen Curry Named Unanimous MVP

On Tuesday, May 10th Stephen Curry heard that he had become the first NBA player to receive a unanimous MVP award and that he will be joining an elite group of 11 that have won back-to-back MVP awards. This of course comes no surprise to us as we have seen his unbelievable talent grow and flourish. Curry shot 50.4% from the field including 45.4% from 3-point range. He is one of seven players that have ever completed a season shooting 50% from the field, 40% from 3-point range, and 90% at the free throw line (50-40-90 club). Curry also made himself stand out by absolutely destroying his previous NBA record of 286 3-pointers in a season by hitting 402 of them this season. That is 126 more than his teammate/runner up in the 3-point department, Klay Thompson (276). After a knee injury put him out for three games, Steph Curry put up 40 points on Monday during his first game back. Curry and the Golden State Warriors lead the Portland Trail Blazers 3-1 in the second round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs. Game 5 is on tonight @ 9:30 PM Central Time.
