MANKATO, Minn. – July 30th 2013 – The City Center Partnership is pleased to announce Alive After 5 presented by Schell’s Brewery. The four free music events on Thursdays in August are designed to help City Center employees and the greater Mankato community enjoy live music outdoors in the City Center. In its 5th year the event will feature roots music by Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank, the rock sounds of DW3, unique groove rock synth pop from West of Aldine and blues by Mike Munson. To find the music, food and fun bring your lawn chair to Jackson Park off Second Street next to the Free Press from 5-8 pm.
Concert attendees can enjoy live music while relaxing with friends and co-workers. Food, soda, beer and wine will be available for purchase through Pub 500 and Buffalo Wild Wings. In case of rain, concerts will be held in the Second Street ramp near Jackson Park. Schell’s Brewery will also be offering beer samplings each night of the event.
“Much like Songs on the Lawn, we are focusing on enhancing the work-life culture for our City Center workforce,” says Andy Willaert, past Chair of the City Center Partnership. “We want to provide a unique concert experience with the ability for attendees to take in the City Center with dining and shopping afterwards.”
Alive After 5 is produced by the City Center Partnership and sponsored by Schell’s Brewery with additional support from US Bank, Radio Mankato and KMSU.
